# The world of podcasts about tech, society & the future just got a whole lot more interesting!

If you’re into podcasts — and even if you’re not — and you’re interested in cutting edge thinking around emerging technologies and the future, you’ll probably want to check out *[Modem Futura](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/modem-futura/id1771688480)* — a new podcast from Arizona State University’s [Future of Being Human initiative](https://futureofbeinghuman.asu.edu/):

… yes, we are *shamelessly* looking to co-opt anyone we can to ensure that the podcast has impact at scale 😀

I am, of course, being a little self-serving here as I co-host the podcast, along with my rather excellent colleague Sean Leahy. But I’m also extremely excited about where we’re going with *Modem Futura* (the key to the name, by the way, is in our pilot episode).

Both Sean and I believe that there’s a hunger for the types of conversations we’ll be having — conversations that grapple with the nuanced complexities of tech and the future without being limited by narrow perspectives and ideas, and without being too intense, serious, or (heavens forbid) preachy!

Rather than explain the podcast, I’d encourage you to take a listen — it’s available on [Apple Podcasts](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/modem-futura/id1771688480) and pretty much everywhere else that good podcasts are found — and new episodes will be dropping every Tuesday.
